GOD OF MONTH: ZEUS

The February god is ZEUS. ZEUS IS the ruler of MT. Olympus, the home of the gods, and the god of the sky and storms. He is one of the 3 sons of CRONUS and RHEA. He is the husband of HERA and the father of: ARTEMIS, APOLLO, HERMES, ARES, PERSEPHONE, HEPHAESTUS, ATHENA.His favorite was his MASTER BOLT.

    Hey Max,

    Did you know that Zeus and Jupiter are the same person? The Greeks and Romans had a sufficiently similar language that they could see this clearly. The name "Zeus" and the name "Jupiter" came from "Dyaus" and "Dyau-Piter", respectively. The first one means "sky", the second, "sky-father". Also, In South Asian myths, there is a similar god named "Indra", who also commands weather, and wields a lightning bolt. He has a thousand eyes!

    I think that the name George Haphaestus Burrough has a nice ring to it. You should keep that in mind for a name for your first born.
